January Search StringsTake out last month’s holiday searches and this month’s search strings are remarkably similar. Folks are looking for info abou Reese’s, Kissables, Butterfingers and Rockaleta. 1. reeses I think the biggest surprise after being Farked over the weekend is that KitKat isn’t on the list (and hasn’t even made it into the top 20 before). December Search StringsHow did new visitors find Candy Blog in December? 1. merry christmas Nothing suprising there, Christmas was higher on people’s minds in December than in November. The continued appearance of Rockaleta does suprise me though, not that people come here (I’m the first result) but that the candy company (Sonric) that makes them doesn’t make more of an effort to get their web page higher. M&Ms did not even make the list this time (that doesn’t mean people aren’t looking online for M&Ms, they’re just not coming to Candy Blog for their M&M content). November Search StringsSearch string changes are a pretty clear indication of the season of the year. Last month’s search strings reflect the departure of Halloween and the arrival of Christmas. Oddly enough, Butterfinger is still going strong, having appeared near the top of all lists and taking over the #1 slot for the first time in November. 1. butterfinger As with last month, Candy Convention was still coming up pretty high (in the #15 spot), I guess Food Network is still running that special. October Search StringsHere?s a list of what brought folks to Candy Blog through search engines during the month of October: 1. halloween candy The big changes this past month were of course brought about by the first holiday of Candy Season but Max Brenner still remains a strong contender on the list as they opened a new cafe in New York City a couple of months ago. The big surprise for me was the number of search hits for the phrase Candy Convention. If you google that, my site comes up as the first one, with my profile coverage of the All Candy Expo this past summer. The Food Network started airing their special on the convention last weekend, so there’s been a huge spike in traffic regarding that. The exceptionally fun part was last night watching the search strings as it was quite obvious that folks were searching to find out the number of calories and kosher status of many popular Halloween goodies! September Search StringsHere’s a list of what brought folks to Candy Blog through search engines during the month of September: 1. m&ms Again, just because that’s what brought then to Candy Blog, that doesn’t mean that these were the most popular candy searches lately it’s just what’s on Candy Blog reader’s minds. August Search StringsHere’s a list of what brought folks to Candy Blog through search engines during the month of August: 1. m&ms I don’t know if the folks searching for Maya Gold were disappointed to find chocolate or not. Things that I don’t put on the list are searches for things like sweet, candy, sugar and blog. POSTED BY Cybele AT 4:12 pm Search Strings • Fun Stuff • News • Tuesday, August 1, 2006
July Search StringsSo at the end of every month I give my webstats a little peek. It’s a way for me to check what people are thinking about and what they’re looking for. Most of all, it tells me why people come to Candy Blog. So I thought I’d start sharing the top candy searches that lead people to Candy Blog each month: 1. m&ms Of course there are other searches going on out there on the engines that didn’t lead them here.
