Unlike Circus Peanuts, Honeycomb Peanuts are more like you’d expect based on their size, shape and color. They look like peanuts, are about the same size as a small pair of peanuts in teh shell and actually taste like peanutty candy. They’re a light orange colored hard candy filled with a crunchy peanut butter center (kind of like the middle of a Butterfinger Bar).
I usually pick them up in bulk bins. They’re also considered a vegan candy.

Commenting is not available in this channel entry.Wow, I’ve never seen these before. Where do you find them in LA? Do you know who makes them?
Oh man, I love these things, but they’ve gotten so hard to find. Portland’s bulk candy bins must be a sad second cousin to those in LA.
I love these things…and I’d forgotten about them! I have no idea where to find them in GA, either. And the economy has gotten so bad around here, I heard today that we’re losing our Goodwill Store! Now THAT’S bad! So I guess no one will be opening a candy store here anytime soon!
Jay & Liz - I have trouble finding them in Los Angeles, I picked up a handful of them in Indiana over the summer. It was tough not eating them until I got home so I could take photos.
They’re made by Atkinson Candy - the folks who also make Chick-O-Sticks.
Cybele,
I’d seen Circus Peanuts in their catalog, but always assumed they were the traditional kind. Their Peanut Butter Bars are excellent, so I can imagine how good these are.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll put it in my mental file for future reference

Jay - they’re not Circus Peanuts (I’ve never tried their version), they’re called Honeycombed Peanuts.
I’ve never seen these, but I want them badly.
Found them tonight at The Fresh Market in Hilton Head, SC
Where can I find the old fashion candies in Huntsville Alabama? Thanks, Brenda
Most, if not all, AtkinsonsTM candies are considered vegan..and proven so…and that INCLUDES the main #1: Chick-o-stick.SC
I LOVE Chick-o-Stick!
