   A crunchy, cereal-infused bar that I crave is the Ritter Sport Knusperflakes bar.  YUMMY!  I’ve pretty much lost faith in the big-label American candy companies.  They are all bad - just mostly.

   Its funny the claims that manufactures put on their bars sometimes…its nice to see someone actually taking an active step and comparing them. The Cunch bar we have here in the UK is a bit different to your one…its still pretty uninspiring stuff though and similarly not the greatest bar out there.

   Terry - I should have linked up the actual premium Nestle stuff that I meant. Have you tried the Callier label stuff?

   Jim - now I’m curious about the one available in the UK.

   Sera - I wish I’d known that they were gone, I would have done a goodbye review.

   April - yes, Knusperflakes is awesome, definitely right up there. I wonder if they make a crisped rice bar.

   Cybele, have you tried the new Crunch Crisp bar? It’s EXCELLENT! I eat one almost every day at work :/  Not terribly sweet, nice and crunchy, but not dry. :D

   Agree completely regading the mediocrity of the Nestle Crunch ( and other Nestle US bars).
   Try the 365 Everyday Organic Swiss Chocolate with Rice Crisps bar sold at Whole Foods. Makes the Nestle Crunch bar or the Hershey Krackle completely irrelevant.

   Krackle Bar was made by combining Rice Krispies with chocolate just prior to moulding -Hershey’s Chocolate was made using whole milk and condensing it of course and cocoa butter. Krackle Bar started it’s decline when powered dry milk chocolate process replaced the whole milk chocolate with powered milk chocolate.

    I tried the new even richer milk chocolate and was really disappointed.  I contacted Nestle and Nestle explained they moved the operations from Brazil to the States.  I used to always enjoy Nestle Crunch bar but these supposedly richer ingredients are just terrible and maybe they do use better ingredients or maybe not but to my taste buds, I just say no now to Nestle Crunch bar until Nestle brings back the Nestle Classic Crunch Bar.  I prefer Coke that is at Costco with real sugar compared to corn syrup and the problem with the food in the States is that everything is so fake and artificial compared to the rest of the world where food is more natural.

    I thought it was just me. The same thing i’ve noticed here with Twisties (thought it was my taste buds gone wrong), and now Nestle Crunch does not taste like it used to. It’s just so bland these days! Thank you for letting me know i’m not going crazy, and this phenomenon is also happening in Australia. I’m going to go check my choccy aisle straight away…

    Crunch and Krackle, both awesome candy bars!  Another great one with krispies inside is the French Lion bar.  That’s a winner in my book!  I think even my local grocery store carries it now in the international food aisle.  I highly recommend trying that one out.

    The Crunch bar started going downhill as soon as they closed the Fulton. NY plant. It was invented there and produced by a very seasoned staff. Nestle chocolate is pretty much second rate at this point.

    When I was a kid, one of the ingredients in the Crunch bar was chocolate liqueur. I remember when they took it out (presumably under duress)the flavor of the candy bar took a nose dive.

    I am not surprised to see companies cutting out quality ingredients to save money.  It is even happening with items such as our sunscreen.  I used to buy Hawaiian Tropic and loved the smell of the sunscreen.  I then saw they changed the ingredients and took out some natural herbs and changed them to so called natural flavors and the smell was not nearly as nice as it used to be.  I think companies see consumers as stupid sometimes and do not realize that we do notice when they cut back on quality ingredients and make portion sizes smaller for the same price.

    I was happy to find this, having the same exact experience. The Nestle crunch bar was my favorite when I was little. Then one day, it changed. The chocolate is worse than that Palmer “chocolate” you find at Easter….*shudder*
    I’d forgotten about it until this past Halloween when I ventured to try a mini Nestle Crunch that was in my daughters bag (yeah I know, but she had so much!). It was still as horrible, maybe even worse, than I remembered since it changed.
    So I did some research and found this thread.
    Back in 1991, I was in Switzerland and had a Nestle Crunch as my friend, a native, recommended because she said they were made differently there. It was FABULOUS…just like I remembered from when I was young, mabye better.
    The standards for chocolate in the US are just non-existent as opposed to much of Europe where the have stricter standards, so the the main stream crap in the USA is all, well, CRAP.
    It’s probably for the best, I’ll stick to my expensive, imported chocolate on rare occassions instead and go to the gym a little less

    Nestles Crunch does not taste the same for years, the quality is very low and it tastes very bad, I stopped buying it years ago. When I called them they said they didnt change it but they did. Less and less stores are selling this bad tasting bar, I will never buy it again

    The changed the taste of the Nestle Crunch bar, it used to be milky chocolate. Now it tastes slightly bitter sweet chocolate. It’s really bad the taste of the Nestle Crunch Bar.  I then notice they lowered the price of the bar because its not selling. They try to cut corners on making the Nestle’s Crunch bar and they lost their customers.
    I have stopped buying it, it really tastes bad, avoid it at ll costs, its no good the chocolate bar Nestle Crunch. I called them to tell them but they said it was the same. So why did they put on the new Nestle Crunch bars now improved.

    Who doesn’t love chocolates right?.. I love these Chocolate since childhood, that I share with my family..  Now that my family is not around I’m having troubles gathering some of supply of this one so, I decide to order it online at https://www.goods.ph and it never fail me with their good delivery service thanks nestle you guys done a lot of things just to serve Filipino people.. very nice content of site
