   I feel like I’m late to the game as I haven’t been eating much candy. I always buy skittles original for Halloween, and this year we had a few packets left over. Boy did I get the shock of my life when it wasn’t lime. I’m really upset by that for the exact reasons you mentioned.
   The lime were always my favorite. So very upset, but I have the feeling no one at the corporation will care.

   The Green Apple flavor completely those off the flavor pallet for Skittles Original flavors.  The Green Apple makes an awful contrast to the flavor. If Skittles wanted to introduce this flavor they could have started another spin off flavor.

   Wow, just bought a big bag, one third was green apple. Not edible. Not buying skittles anymore. One third of the bag went in the trash.

   There is a Skittles Orchards mix with the original lime skittle (not Midnight Lime) coming back. The Orchards mix will be released in 2015. And it will be green just like the original lime skittle.

   So for those wanting the lime skittles back wait for 2015 and buy an Orchards mix skittles (they will be in a dark green bag). If you can’t wait the darkside Midnight Lime skittle tastes very similar.

   Plus an idea for 2016’s skittle mix: Bring back the Carnival or Chocolate skittles

    Original - 2/10 (If they still had lime it would be 10/10)
    Wild berry - 8/10
    Tropical - 7/10
    Riddles - 8/10
    Darkside - 7/10
    Desserts - Didn’t try yet

    So I see most everyone agrees that Green Apple sucks. Especially to combiners like me. So WRITE to Wrigley! At the bottom of the Skittles.com page is a “Hover over for Legal” bubble and a “Contact Us” link. I have already written. If enough people do instead of just complaining, maybe, just maybe they’ll change it. They definitely won’t if nobody writes - they only slightly monitor social media - what they watch is sales and direct mail/messages. I’m betting most of you are still buying even still.

    I love Skittles, but I hadn’t had them in over a year.  I got some this year as a bulk after-Halloween buy and when I went to enjoy them, I was shocked at the taste and spit it out!  The package said “Original” Skittles, what’s going on?  I found after testing the colours individually that the lime was had all gone rotten;  apparently this is supposed to be Apple now (a candied flavour I hate).  So gross.

    I now throw them out when they come up.  I love Lime!  Why?!?

    Today i bought a large bag of Skittles and a bag of the new Orchard ones.

    I picked out all the apple skittles by hand and threw them out and dumped the Orchard bag in it.

    Almost like a REAL original bag…with Cherry and peach added which both aren’t bad.

    I am SUPER excited about the new flavor; I stopped buying the red-bagged skittles a long time ago, because I didn’t like the lime or lemon. Now, with the green apple flavor, I will buy them again.

    I hadn’t bought Skittles since they got rid of lime. I have kids at the perfect Skittle eating age and I don’t buy them. Well, Target had 70% off Valentine packs so I bought them. Bummer all over again! Bring back LIME!!

    I hate that change and I want my lime back. It was back in orchards, but I feel like green apple should be in orchards and lime should be in the original.

    Even worse, what if a starburst flavor in the original mix gets replaced with some weird teal colored flavor like blueberry lime? (like that will ever happen…)

    So, it shows how often I eat skittles. I just got a green skittle and gagged. Saw on the package they’re green apple, and looked it up to learn from you that it happened 2 years ago. Guess they weren’t doing it as a publicity stunt… I don’t like them

    Companies are trying to fix what isn’t broken by changing flavors in their “original” mixes, hoping the change will spawn more consumers, but in reality they are changing what most of us consider a classic. They are losing their most loyal and long time consumers. Obviously, they don’t care about what the loyal consumer wants, only how much money they might make by making a change to get our attention. How can they put the word “original” on the Skittles packaging when it isn’t an original anymore?

    What they don’t understand is that they lost faith in a huge group of loyal consumers. It’s sad that companies have lost the connection between them and the consumer, that used to be so important.

    Jolly Rancher was another one that was very upsetting, when they changed their tart Lemon flavor to a sickening sweet Blue Rasberry. Then when the consumers complained, instead of switching it back, they put out a “limited” bag of just the Lemon flavor. Kind of a slap to the face for consumers. They still call their bag “original” too, when it’s not. Thanks for nothing corporate candy makers.

    I actually have in possession a few dozen boxes of ORIGINAL Skitttles, with lime in them, unopened.

    I’ll put them up for sale if anyone actually wants a box of original lime skittles.

    I was very disappointed when I bought a bag of the original flavored Skittles. It had more green in it than other flavors. I thought that was great until I tasted them. The green apple flavoring is NOT good!  I tried to give them to kids I know and they did not like them either. I felt I wasted my money on this purchase. Bring back the lime and make it original again!

    I feel like swearing to get my point across but I won’t… I will be polite. Green apple is a total disappointment not just in Skittles but in all products. Lime rules as a mellow dreamy artificial heaven. Lime flavor rocks okay!
    I feel like green apple may be a more modern preference but it falls short off the cliff of candy flavor death.

    I keep on forgetting that may changed the flavor of green skittles from lime to that nasty ass apple flavor.  Not only was lime my favorite, which is a huge bummer, but those stupid idiot fat cats in their ivory tower traded it for a flavor that is horribly sub par.  It’s like going from mint flavored toothpaste to salmon.  Pull your head out of your ass and change it back or I will seriously give up on buying them.

    We should all mutiny!!! I haven’t bought a package of “Original” Skittles in TWO YEARS. I miss lime so much, and I absolutely refuse to buy an “Original” package (the fact that they keep putting that word on their bags is an argument in itself) AND a dark side package just so I can switch the greens and throw so much candy away. YOU WILL NOT GET MORE MONEY FROM ME, WRIGLEY! Frankly, you will not get ANY money from me until you rectify the situation. Make a red bag that says Skittles Green Apple, and let the “Original” actually be original. Detestable.

    Totally agree with comments. It was a wonderful thing to put half a bag of Skittles in hand and throw them,all in and enjoy. Now without lime, it’s almost unbearable. As others have commented, I no longer buy Skittles anymore because of green apple. Please bring lime back!

    I just want to say that I personally Hate green apple flavor in skittles, I eat them everyday, all my life, and now they just don’t taste right, I literally pick out the green apples ones now, when lime was my favorite, even if lime didn’t work you could’ve replaced it with watermelon, I just don’t understand the logic in doing this, please as a consumer of your product, I’m asking you to please get rid of the green apple flavor, its disgusting, and I want my lime flavor back, or anything else than green apple. its disgusting, it overpowers all the other flavors, unlike the lime, it just meshed well with the other flavors. thanks for your time, sincerely Meagan Pettway, PS- my kids wont eat them any more because of the green apple, even if I pick them out, they refuse to because they say, that if the green isn’t in the rainbow then they don’t want it, they think that the lime flavor should come back to the rainbow too.!!

    I don’t like the green apple flavored Skittles. It doesn’t go well with the other flavors like lime. They should’ve left them alone with the lime. Green apple is not original so it shouldn’t be in the original packs. They could’ve added it to the many other versions. I want the lime back in the original version.

    I LOVE lime skittles. 3 years and they’re still gone. I miss them every damn day. An fI agree 100% that green apple is not an original flavor, and on gp should be kept out of Skittles “Original” mix, both regular and sour. I want my damn lime back they were my fav!!!

    Today was going to be a good day. I was going to open a bag of skittles, pull out all the green ones, maybe play with the idea of having red and purple, then throw the rest away. Imagine my shock and dismay as I eat the first of those rotten little green apple nightmares. I believe I will do what another commenter suggested; I will save all the green ones until I have enough, and send them back to the factory with a strongly-worded hate letter.

    GREEN APPLE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!! WE HATE IT!! PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK LIME!!

    I love lime anything lime!  So skittles took our beloved lime skittle away I’m so mad I could cry!  I wouldn’t be so mad but it seems lime flavored things are going extinct!!!! Lbvs

    I mean it’s also happened to life savers!  I tried ordering lime candy from off brand companies I got blessed with one time of lime candy I went to order more and the next batches came back limeless flavorless I couldn’t believe it! I sent back!  They blamed their manufacturing co.  I then found another candy company on the west coast to have the same thing as the one on the east coast!!!

    No lime flavor!  Sent them back!  I’m going nuts trying to find lime candy just genuine lime no kiwi no add ins just original lime!!!!! My thing is if life savers and skittles take away the lime at least still sell it on the side not discontinue it!!! It appears not only on this forum but on many others that there are many people upset over this!

    They should have took a survey to see how many wanted this green apple flavor added!?! And y this change??? Is our beloved lime really going extinct??? So weird but try to google lime candy u barely have any choices!!!! I just want my lime candy back!!!!! Please help !

    It’s been too long since I last had Skittles.  Back then, the greens were still lime.  I got a new bag of “Original” Skittles for Christmas and when I started eating them, I noticed a change in the flavor of the green ones.  Then, I read the flavors on the back of the package and noticed it said “Green Apple” for the greens, which took me by surprise.

    But, unlike most people, I like the green apple Skittles, though they do give me a bit of an aftertaste that requires chewing gum to get rid of the aftertaste.  The green apple ones are not as bad as most people have said they were, though it does ruin my childhood somewhat by changing the classic lime flavor to the green apple flavor.

    I agree that they should bring back the lime flavor, but still keep the green apple flavor by making it a different shade of green.  Also, if they could make a blue colored Skittle and make it blueberry, that would be nice and it would complete the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, & Purple).  But, if they do decide to make a blueberry Skittle, don’t make the flavor too strong or there will likely be more complaints, like the complaints here with the green apple Skittles.

    We stopped buying the big bags of Skittles once they changed to green apple.  The combination is gross!  Now when we end up with Skittles, we throw out all the green ones.  I wish there was a way to convince them to change them back!
