Is it just me, or is that the prettiest candy ever? It looks like a vintage farm kitchen decoration made from melted canning jar glass. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of barley sugar candy….
“Santa” used to leave barley sugar lollipops in our stockings when my sisters and I were very young, early 80s. The lollipops were red, yellow or green and shaped like Sants’s boot, rocking horse, other Christmasy images. I never realized they were “barley candy” until now, but the glass-like appearance of the candy is unmistakeable. Thanks for posting ... Brings back some great memories!
Meticulously photographed and documented reviews of candy from around the world. And the occasional other sweet adventures. Open your mouth, expand your mind.

I agree that it is so pretty, and does remind me of those chicken candy dishes.
